Čiker MTB Marathon 2013

Even then it was obvious that this manifestation could become permanent event, and this grow into tradition, as it had a strong touristic potential and nothing similar existed in the region before.

The participants of the first marathon announced their appearance on the second one via list, and the voice about the marathon and its prospect reached greater number of the interested ones, so we expected the bigger number of participants, which in fact happened.

The path was changed if compared to the one of the first marathon, and after the starting line from Kraljevo,which is the only constant of each marathon, we rode through: Ivanjica, Nova Varoš, Sjenica, Prijepolje, Pljevlja, žabljak and Plužine, with the final destination in Crkvičko Polje.
The mountains we visited in 2013. were Čemerno, Javor, Zlatar, Jadovnik, Jabuka, Ljubišnja, Durmitor and mountain Piva.
Marathon counted 65 cyclist, and the number of participants from other countries also increased.

The comeback from Kraljevo was organised in buses, for the participants, and bicycles were transported in a truck, as well as the following equipment.

Late hot Sunday night in June, the year 2013, Kraljevo and I, at the starting line of my first Čiker marathon. A huge group of fellows, and the two of us, as a conformation to the strength which filled the town square.Heading towards the unknown. An enormous support, nothing is left to the case. From the inspiring beauty and supporting friends I don't have time to feel any other emotion but excitement, infinite gratitude and growing feeling of self-confidence.
And so, everyone together, over the mountains: Jelica, Čemerno, Javor, Zlatar, Jadovnik, Kamena Gora and Durmitor, we make parts of our dreams come true. I say part because, one never stops dreaming.
